Michael Groover

My interest in sex education began during my time as an HIV Peer Educator for the Economic Opportunity Commission of Nassau County. Currently, in addition to being a Sex Educator at PPNC, I’m working towards my Masters of Social Work! I am particularly keen on working on teen health, self-esteem and expression. In fact, I was recognized by a local elementary school for my award-winning boy’s empowerment and rites-of-passage program. In addition to being a Sex Educator, I oversee PPNC’s collaboration with local colleges, hosting programs with student organizations and classes. In my spare time I cook, and coach a lacrosse team.
